During lock down, we found ourselves engaging in  all  the quizzes. We're talking easy ones, hard ones, family-friendly ones - even dedicated picture rounds and fashion quizzes. But now that restrictions are beginning to ease, we've found ourselves kind of... missing the random knowledge we were gaining from jumping on Zoom with our pals every week. Anyone else? Yes? If you feel the same, maybe you need some random and fun trivia in your lives to fill the quizzing gap. Perfect for pulling out at your next dinner party. 1.Avocados are a fruit, not a vegetable.  They're technically considered a single-seeded berry, believe it or not. 2.The Eiffel Tower can be 15 cm taller during the summer,  due to thermal expansion meaning the iron heats up, the particles gain kinetic energy and take up more space. 3. Trypophobia  is the fear of closely-packed holes.  Or more specifically, "an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps." No cr

Who doesn’t love useless, weird facts?!

They come in handy at the dinner table when you’re wanting to impress the grandparents, on that awkward date when you’re scrambling for conversation, but most of all at the pub, when you’re trying to win some extra money for another schnitty!

So we’ve scoured the internet to bring you the most bizarre facts that are surprisingly real…

  • A group of crows is called murder.
  • Tomato sauce was sold in the 1800’s as medicine.
  • A donkey will sink in quicksand, but a mule won’t.

  • And finally, it is illegal to carry an ice cream in your back pocket in Kentucky.

Mind. Blown.

Being a Friends fan myself – the type of fan that has watched each season at least 20 times – I try to avoid conspiracy theories.

It just ruins it you know and a lot of them are ridiculous. Like, that one where the whole series was a dream of Rachel’s. Seriously? WTF is that about?

You see, her mum Judy Geller doesn’t even try to hide her favoritism for her son Ross, but we’re never really told why Judy acts like this.

We do find out that Ross was remarked as the “miracle baby” because they thought Judy was barren. But then wouldn’t Monica be an even bigger miracle?

Unless she wasn’t Judy’s…

The theory is that Monica, our beloved Monica, is a lovechild from an affair her father Jack Geller had.I know, it’s pretty bonkers but it could definitely fit. It would explain Judy’s preference and explain her overt dislike for her daughter; Monica was a constant reminder of the affair. This explains her criticism, shaming, and animosity towards Monica and praises for Ross aka her own child.

Or it could be the other way around. Maybe Judy had the affair and kept the  secret for years. How she treats Monica could stem from her internal shame and fear her secret could unravel.
